BAD lends 34 millions support to Guinea Bissau infrastructure

The African Development Bank (ADB) has granted to Guinea-Bissau a loan of $ 34 million (25 million €) to strengthen good governance and infrastructure, said on Thursday an official source.

"This is a loan to strengthen good governance and economic and financial infrastructure development in support of productive activitiesby 2015," he told AFP Guinea-Bissau Minister of Economy and plan, Elena Nosolini Embalo.

A mission of the ADB is also arrived Tuesday in the capital of Guinea-Bissau where it will stay until Saturday, the ministry said Guinea-Bissauof the Economy and Planning in a statement sent to AFP.

ADB will mobilize additional financial resources from other partners for the benefit of Guinea-Bissau, told AFP a source representation of thefinancial institution in Bissau.

"These funds will be directed only towards the creation of employment,poverty reduction and the fight against economic and social political weakness of Guinea-Bissau," she said.
